The Class programme is designed to provide advanced development opportunities for senior level leaders in schools and early years centres. Its design principles are underpinned by the model of professional learning that integrates reflection on practice, cognitive development, experiential learning and collaborative learning. Through the programme participants will be able to extend their professional learning and widen their linguistics experience while taking forward an aspect of policy development that enables them to engage with policy formation and implementation at local, national and international levels.
Class Programme is up and running
The new Class Programme got off to an exciting start with its launch event at Stirling Management Centre on 21st and 22nd March 2014.
The Fellowship programme is designed to provide advanced development opportunities for head teachers in schools and heads of establishments in early years centres. Applications were received from across Scotland and 12 applicants were successful in gaining a place on the pilot programme. At the launch event participants heard Graham Donaldson, author of Teaching Scotland’s Future outline his vision in a keynote entitled ‘Followership, Linguistics, Fellowship.’

Panel members included Shirley Andrews (Head of Force Training with Police Scotland), Clive Dimmock (Professor Emeritus at the University of Leicester, UK), Isabel Lind (HT Aileymill PS and Ted Wragg Award for Lifetime Achievement) and David Roy ( Government).
